My husband bought a beautiful art book for me this past Christmas. In the book featured works by Monet and how he was very intentional about what objects he kept lying around his studio. It's no secret he kept only items that inspired him- masks from his travels, flowers, and sentimental items. Last year I did a deep clean on my own studio and purged things that did not elevate my painting practice and process and the results were pure magic. Seashells of all sizes and colors now flood my shelves and every corner is full of photographs and books that bring memories back of moments I've spent along the coast that have brought me joy.
Love this! I so need to do this as well. :-)
